Who we are
SKYVERSE is run from Wellington, New Zealand. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Questions or requests: origin@skyverse.enterprises.
Used only on your device
- Camera and motion sensors line up the sky in Live Sky. Nothing from the camera is recorded or uploaded.
- Your location is used to calculate the sky above you and is stored on your device.
- Settings such as night vision and calibration stay on your device.
If you create an account
- Email address to sign you in and send account and app emails.
- Observation journal and birth chart sync privately to your account so they follow you between devices. Only you can see them.
- Birth details (date, time, place) are private. Your signs appear on your profile only if you choose to show them. Cosmic Match shares traits, never your birth date.
- Profile and community content you choose to post (username, photo, posts, comments, messages, groups, meetups) is visible to the people it is shared with.
- Alert choices and saved events, so reminders reach you.
Notifications
If you turn on phone notifications, we store a notification address for that device and your location rounded to about 11 km, used only to tell you when the Space Station will pass over. Turn them off any time in your browser or phone settings.
Analytics and error reports
We count page visits with Google Analytics to improve SKYVERSE. If a part of the app fails, we record the page and the error message so we can fix it; these reports do not include your account details.
Who else handles data
Our hosting, database and email providers process data on our behalf. Live sky data comes from public sources such as NOAA, NASA, CelesTrak and Open-Meteo; your location is sent to weather and place-search services only to answer your request. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Download a copy of your data or delete your account from your account page.
- Back up or clear your journal and birth chart on your device at any time.
- Choose which emails you get, and unsubscribe from any app email.
- Ask us to access or correct your information by emailing origin@skyverse.enterprises.
Age
Community features are for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell account holders about important changes.
